Celebrating Success!

May 31st – June 17th was a joyous time at Compass Project as we celebrated the successful completion of six boat building projects with our amazing student builders. Staff, volunteers, teachers, school administrators and families proudly stood by the students as their boats made their inaugural splashes. The students finished a diverse array of projects. Each launch – from the 34’ Crestwood Gig to the 12’ Bevin’s Skiff – was a wonderfully unique experience. Yet common threads were clear: pride in a challenging job done well; excitement at taking to the water in a boat of their own creation; and affection and respect for the staff and volunteers that guided them along the long path to success. Compass Project is so proud of the students of 2012-2013. Congratulations!
