A great family bonding or corporate team building weekend! Consider participating in the Compass Project’s 2nd Annual Biddeford Boatbuilding Festival on September 16 & 17. The festival is a fundraiser for the Compass Project, a program of non-profit arts organization Engine, based in downtown Biddeford.

As a participant, your team will build its own Compass Skiff, a 10-foot motorboat, over the course of the weekend. All materials and supplies will be provided. No prior experience or skills needed. Each team will be able to take their boat home to paint and use or to raffle off, to donate, or sell to raise money for another organization.

Funds raised will support Compass Project’s year-round boatbuilding and rowing programs for at-risk youth. The Compass Project’s mission is to use boat building and rowing to provide positive direction to youth by encouraging the development of personal responsibility and community and environmental engagement. Our experiential learning programs integrate academic, job and life skills training with boat building and rowing to help youth stay in school and find new career directions.

FEE: $1200
BUILD TIME: Friday 5-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:30am-4:30pm
